Burnham Beeches
Image by Jasmic I cannot remember when this picture was taken of Gabriel, but it was in Burnham Beeches, some time in early 1999. Burnham Beeches is a piece of Ancient Woodland owned by the London Corporation. Growing up in an industrial environment meant that this place was very important to me. It is where I escaped to, climbed trees, dug holes, fell in ponds, crashed my bike, chased my mates, and did all the stuff that is so important to a growing boy. It was really nice being able to go back with my own kids, and watch them do pretty much the same sort of stuff.
