Kielder Forest
Image by Bods Sometimes on a walk, a forest road like that would be greeted with doom and despondency. Not this day and not for us. Most of the remaining five miles to Byrness would be on this road รข€" at two points the Pennine Way diverts onto some grass as a short cut, however we didn't bother. The savings could have been counted in minutes, and the water logged land may have even made the short cuts even slower.
