November 30, 2005 -Forest 2020 tour and meeting
Image by CSLP Leslee Winchester, RM of Craik administrator, welcomed 28 representatives from Quebec to British Columbia to the CSLP Eco-Centre. These respresentatives were part of the Afforestation & BioEnergy Plantation Establishment Tour. They were touring Forest 2020 sites that were established in 2004 and 2005 in each of the three prairie provinces. Mayor Rod Haugerud gave a presentation on the building, and Derek Siddel, Silviculture Operations Specialist with Canadian Forest Services talked of the tour and the Craik Forest in particular. Dave Ehman and Austin Eade continued with the tour once it left Craik. The tour stopped along Hwy. # 11 (the Louis Riel Trail) to have a first hand look at one of the sections of the Craik Forest.
